Boho Tassel Tree Wall Art
Materials:
- Scrap Wood Piece or Sign
- Green Yarn
- Small Branch
- Sanding Block
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun and Sticks
- Cotton Balls
- Gold Paper Clips
How To Make Tassels:
1. Cut two small pieces of yarn and one long piece.
2. Take the long piece of yarn and wrap it at least 5 times around 3 fingers.
3. Thread one of the small pieces of yarn through the top loops and remove it from around your fingers and tie off.
4. Cut the loops at the bottom.
5. Wind the second small piece of yarn around the tassel about a half-inch from the top about four times and tie off tightly.
Tip: Make as many tassels as needed and use different shades of green.
Make the Tree:
6. Start by gluing a bottom row of tassels into place with hot glue.
7. Place a dab of hot glue on the back of the tassel where the knot is and press into place on the sign. Glue the very center tassel first, then out outer tassels, then the two in the middle.
8. The bottom row has 5 tassels, then 4, 3, 2, and 1. So for the next row that has 4 tassels, offset the tassels with the bottom row, and barely cover the top of the tassel from the previous row.
9. Once all of the tassels are glued into place, glue the wooden branch into the center of the bottom row of tassels so it sticks out and looks like a tree trunk.
10. Complete by gluing on any additional festive flourishes!
Snowflake Branch Wall Hanging
Materials:
- Wooden Branch
- Wooden Snowflake Ornaments
- Wreath Hoop
- Twine
- Faux Sprigs
- Bottle Brush Trees
- Cotton Balls
- Gold Paper Clips
How To Make:
1. Drill a hole in the center of the branch and drill two holes equally spaced from the center for the ornaments.
2. Map out where you want the trees to go and drill holes only going through half of the branch to stick the wire.
3. Glue the branch to the front of the wreath hoop horizontally slightly below the center.
4. Make three chains with the paperclips in varying lengths. Open up the first paper clip on the chain and thread it through the center hole. Repeat with the other two chains.
5. Add a snowflake to the end of each chain. Hot glue the trees into the holes and embellish with cotton balls to look like snow.
6. Continue to embellish the branch with faux sprigs.
7. Hang and enjoy!
