- 2 Yellow Onions (julienned)
Caramelized Onions
- 1 Tbsp Canola Oil
- 1 tsp Kosher Salt
French Onion Mayo
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 cup Mayonaisse
Caramelized Onion Purée
- 1 Tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 cup Caramelized Onions
Toppings
- Provolone Cheese
- Roasted Garlic Butter (for bun)

Caramelized Onions
- Preheat pan on high heat.
- Add canola oil and bring to temp, or when the oil begins to shimmer.
- Cut the heat down to medium and add the julienned onions, stir onions constantly and when they become translucent, cut the heat down to low and let it cook for an hour. Stirring constantly.
- When caramel brown and super tender pull them off the heat and transfer to a bowl.
Caramelized Onion Pureé
- Add ingredients in a high-speed blender and purée until smooth.
- Transfer in a bowl and use as a spread or scoop onto recipes for a flavor enhancer.
French Onion Mayo
- Mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise with 2 tsp of Worcestershire Sauce and 2 tablespoons of caramelized onion purée. Transfer to a jar and vise on burgers.
French Onion Burger AKA Drew Burgermore
- Toast buns with roasted garlic butter
- Season and then sear burgers (3 minutes on each side)
- Top burger with one slice of provolone and let it melt.
- Burger Assembly Order: once buns are toasted spread French Onion Mayo sauce on each side of the bun, then add lettuce and place the cooked patty and melted provolone cheese on top of the lettuce, top with caramelized onions, and lid the burger with the top bun. Enjoy!
