Teachers Gives Shoes to Students in Need - Payless Surprise

Jesse Acosta is a teacher at Kimball High School, the same school he attended as a kid. Prior to the pandemic, he watched students come into school with worn down, beat up shoes. So, when back to school season started in August, Jesse and his girlfriend, Alejandra, started “Pasos for Oak Cliff” with the hope of giving 50 kids new sneakers. Now, they have raised enough money to donate 350 pairs of shoes. And our incredible contributor Payless has now donated an additional 500 pairs of shoes to help Jesse and Alejandra’s effort.
